I know I complained about commute a few weeks ago, but this morning even more terrible. I usually wait until after rush hour to get on the metro and it's not that bad, but this morning Hoosband couldn't drop me off at the metro station like usual so I went early to get a parking place at Reston. Got a seat since it was the beginning of the line, but it completely filled up before we left the station. People just kept piling in and I was so hot by Tyson's that I was starting to feel nauseous and headachy. Can't imagine what the men in suits, or the young people who might have gone out drinking last night felt like.

So many people got on that the train operator started announcing to the crowd as soon as Ballston that people standing on the platform should wait for the next train. Some people standing were so close to each other that their faces couldn't have been more than 6 or 8 inches apart. Ugh. If I was them I would have hurled.

Good thing I only do this 2 or 3 times per month. By the time I walked two blocks to the office in this heat I felt awful and was in a terrible mood. Some car honked at me because I was in the crosswalk still when the light turned. I just mouthed "shut the eff up" to the driver and gave her the stink eye, but if I did this every day I'd be flipping the bird left and right. I don't know how you peeps do this every day (and traffic too), especially wearing a suit in (feels like) 100 deg weather.
